Genesis Retail Displays is a point of sale display design agency in Sydney that was engaged by Maxi-Cosi a second time to help launch one of their new products.

We created another point of sale display solution that demonstrates how thoughtful design can enhance the in-store experience, drive product engagement, and meet both functional and branding requirements in a retail setting.

Just like the previous design we created for Maxi-Cosi’s baby car seats, functionality was a primary focus. The display was engineered with ergonomic proportions to ensure store staff could comfortably and confidently demonstrate the product. This attention to usability played a crucial role in aligning the display’s design with its intended purpose.

Given the size of the unit, logistics were also a key consideration. The display was packed in durable, tested materials to ensure safe handling during transit. To support easy rollout across multiple locations, we provided comprehensive assembly instructions, making it simple for store teams to set up the display correctly and efficiently.

Designing point of sale displays for Baby Bunting

Our process began with a series of site visits to understand the retail context in Baby Bunting both in terms of store layout and how staff currently demonstrate the product to customers.

This helped us identify suitable locations, spatial limitations, and ergonomic requirements.

These insights informed our design approach, which drew on the visual language of the brand and the product itself. Multiple concepts were developed and tested to assess what was structurally and visually achievable within the constraints of the environment.

 

Creating a point of sale display design concept

This display was developed with the clear objective of providing a strong, recognisable brand presence in-store while supporting retail teams to demonstrate a unique and technical product.

In this case, the display was for a baby car seat that had to serve multiple practical functions, including integrated storage for marketing collateral and the ability to update or adapt messaging over time through flexible graphic applications.

 

Our point of sale design agency provides an end to end service which also includes the creation of detailed assembly instructions so that each unit can be put together perfectly once it is delivered to the stores.

We do this because we realise how time consuming it can be to set up point of sale displays. So for each brand we make it as easy as possible which also ensures there is maximum compliance at store level.

As you can see from the in store photos, the point of sale display lets you easily touch, feel and try the baby seat while creating a visually striking presence.

As you can see in the background most baby car seats in Baby Bunting are just located on metal shelving. Maxi-Cosi creates an advantage for itself by drawing attention to its new product with a simple, elegant design visual, striking blue colour and easy to access display.
