A Pallet Retail Display That Changes Size

Retail display ideas for small, medium or large format stores.

the brief

Our client secured a head office agreement to place a pallet display into their retail stores. Although the field team realised that this wouldn’t be possible in all stores as their floor plans varied greatly. The retail chain had a mixture of small, medium and large format stores.

The other challenge was the ability for store managers to follow retail planogram guidelines & strong operations compliance. So the brand knew they needed a scaleable solution that could be adapted to different shop sizes or situations but still look and feel consistent to support their promotional program.

HOW WE DELIVERED THIS DISPLAY SOLUTION

To solve this retail display problem we created an adaptable floor display that could be used on its own or can be opened up to dress up a pallet on the shop floor. It meant that stores could choose how they wanted to execute the display based on the stock and floor space available. In some respects this created a PDQ pallet display solution that could be transformed into a cardboard free standing display.

THE RESULTS

  • Execution across small, medium & large stores.

  • Dual placement in some larger stores.

  • 100% execution in all stores.

The results were brilliant. Some of the larger stores set up the cardboard pallet display stand plus the free standing floor display in a secondary off location area. This gave the brand even more exposure than originally planned.

For most stores they chose to either use the stand alone floor display or the pallet display meaning the brand got 100% coverage and compliance with this display strategy. If this approach wasn’t taken then chances were only 60% of stores woudl have had coverage.
