Strategic Intent of the Campaign

Launch Flip Mino HD by Cisco in Australia and New Zealand. Secure product space and displays in retailers such as Harvey Norman’s and Dick Smith Electronics.

Brief

  • A permanent retail display for a long term duration 12+ months.
  • Fit a standard Harvey Norman endcap with minimal installation.
  • Contain a small audio-visual display
  • Generate hype and intrigue with counter unit.

Solution Description

Working with our advertising agency partner, Razor Group – Flip Mino HD sales displays were designed and developed to launch Cisco’s digital camcorder range into the Australian and New Zealand market. The primary brief focused on gaining retail acceptance within Harvey Normans and Dick Smith computer and electronics stores.

Powered by the short deadline the campaign was launched in 2 phases. Phase 1 involved generating interest through posters, tent cards and wobblers. Phase 2 saw the launch of counter unit, permanent endcaps and stand E displays.

With extensive prototyping and development in such a short time the Flip Mino HD campaign was sucessfully launched in November 2009. This was all achieved through consistent and through communication with the client and our responsiveness. Genesis managed, design, development, production and distribution of all the point of sale.

Results

The Flip Mino HD was the hit-christmas present of 2009. The displays were well-received by Harvey Normans and Dick Smith NZ and has thus been installed in multiple stores nationwide.
